There are many supplements that can keep the body healthy, one of which is probiotics.
There are many foods that contain probiotics which are now being consumed by the wider community, starting from protein bars and bottled water.
Probiotics are loved because they are good bacteria that can help break down food, destroy disease-causing cells, or produce vitamins in the body.
But to get all these benefits, many people wonder if there is a best time to take probiotics.
Launching Women Healths Mag, Patricia Raymond, MD, a doctor of gastroenterology and internal medicine as well as a clinical adviser for Gastro Girl, stated that consuming good probiotics is before going to bed.
According to him, probiotics will work optimally when the intestine is not doing any activity.
“The gut is pretty inactive at night. If you’re taking them, you usually won’t wake up in the middle of the night to have a bowel movement,” he says.

However, Seifeldin Hakim, a gastroenterologist with Memorial Hermann in Houston, Texas, explains that there is no solid data to determine when to take probiotics.
“There’s no solid data on timing, but I would suggest following the directions for use for each product,” she explains.
Tamara Freuman, RD, author of The Bloated Belly Whisperer explains that a person is required to consume probiotics every day because of their good benefits for the body.
“Any benefit from probiotics only occurs as they pass through your body,” he concluded.
